Foulsham Baptist Church

Visitors

The church was built in 1824 and is set on quite a small site on the main street of Foulsham Village. (Directions and map)  There are some parking spaces on the premises but some cars have to be parked in the road or in nearby roads.

Visitors are welcomed at the door. Sometimes there is recorded music playing until the service begins at 10.45 am.

Our minister Rev. Neil Walker invites the congregation to join in worshipping God.

The service usually includes ~

  • A mixture of traditional and modern hymns or songs led by a small group of instrumentalists and singers.  The songs are from books or displayed on a screen.
  • Prayers for the needs of the congregation, local and world issues.
  • A time to share family news and celebrate birthdays and other events by dipping into the chocolate box.
  • Bible Readings.
  • A sermon usually linked into a series.
  • An offering, which is an opportunity for the regular members of the congregation to give financially to the work of the church.
  •  On the 3rd Sunday morning, Communion is included in the service, for those who believe in Jesus Christ as their Saviour.  The bread and wine is offered to all, but those who don't feel it appropriate for them to take part, pass the plate or tray on to others.  This is an opportunity to reflect on what has been said in the service.

The service usually ends at approximately 12 noon. Everyone is invited to stay for refreshments after the service.  There is disabled access throughout the premises, including the toilets.

On some Sundays we hold a Cafe Style Service, this is always advertised on the Forthcoming Events page

Why not come and see for yourself.
